Sandy’s Priorities

My promise to the people of House District 105 was to stand up for what is best for our families. At the State Capitol, I am working to bring a common-sense approach to the challenges that we all face. Together, I know we can find solutions to secure a safer and more prosperous future for our families and community.

Provide Relief for Our Families

As our families and businesses continue deal with the impacts of high costs due to lingering inflation, increasing insurance costs, and rising property taxes, during this year’s Legislative Session, I am joining my legislative colleagues to deliver additional relief to our families by working to:

  • Put your money back in your pocket by delivering $1 billion in tax rebates directly to Georgia taxpayers
  • Accelerate cuts to the Georgia income
  • Work to tackle sky-rocketing insurance costs by passing lawsuit reform that will cut down on frivolous lawsuits that are driving up costs to better protect families and businesses
  • Stand up for property tax reforms to stop out-of-control property tax increases that are harming our families

Protect Our Children

As a mom, I understand well that there is nothing more important that keeping our children and families safe. That is why I am leading on important legislative priorities during the 2025 Legislative Session to protect our children and families:

  • Investing in school security improvements and supporting reforms to better protect our students in school
  • Prohibiting biological males from playing in girls’ sports
  • Backing additional reforms aimed at continuing to root out human trafficking across Georgia
  • Securing additional mental health funding for Georgia’s schools
  • Supporting additional efforts to assist law enforcement in stopping the gangs and cartels that are threatening our safety
