Sandy Donatucci is a military spouse, mother, breast cancer survivor, caregiver for mom, community leader and volunteer, who is passionate about standing up for the families of our local community.
She currently represents the people of District 105 in the Georgia State House where she serves as a member of the Education, Transportation, and Intragovernmental Coordination Committees. In her role, Sandy is delivering on her promise to lead with a common-sense approach to do what is best for our local families.
As a military spouse, Sandy has a diverse background that stems from moving around often with her husband Bill when he was serving in the U.S. Army. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she and Bill moved to Aviano Italy Aviano Air Force Base. While there, Sandy was employed as a Civilian Contracted with AAFES for Turkey, Greece, and Italy. She also taught English as Safop, a local French Company.
Sandy has worked as a sales professional in some capacity for 30+ years in which she has worked as an international sale representative, healthcare sales professional, and now as a highly-recognized Realtor. Locally, Sandy volunteers as Leaders for Marriage Ministry at 12 Stone Church and as a Competition Cheer Community Coach. She previously served District 4 on the Gwinnett County Planning Commission.
A resident of Gwinnett County for 23 years, Sandy currently resides in Buford. She has been married to her husband Bill for 36 years. They are the proud parents of Kyle (32) and daughter-in-law Elizabeth, Ashley (23), and Noah (20) and 2 dogs.
When I ran for State House, my promise was simple: Stand up for what's best for our families. In the State House, I delivered on that promise by bringing an outsider's perspective to work for common-sense solutions by finding common ground and bringing people together. By focusing on results, not politics, I delivered meaningful reforms to make life more affordable, keep families safe, and expand educational and economic opportunities in Gwinnett.

Property Tax Relief – Delivered Homeowner Tax Relief Grants to saves families on their tax bills
Capped your property taxes — Fought for and delivered a 3% cap on property assessment increases, so families aren't blindsided by their tax bill
Reducing insurance costs — Cast the Deciding Vote for lawsuit reform, helped pass the insurance omnibus package to end surprise billing and further reduce insurance costs for Gwinnett families
Suspended the gas tax — Supported initiatives to help save Gwinnett drivers money at the pump when they needed it most
Enhanced penalties on squatters, human and drug traffickers, and scammers, giving law enforcement stronger tools to protect our community
Secured funding for school security, so our kids are safe in the classroom
Backed pay raises for law enforcement, standing up for the men and women who protect Gwinnett every day
Secured additional mental health funding for Georgia's schools
Passed the Math Matters Act – increasing access to advanced mathematics courses
Investing in Literacy – passed legislation to place a literacy coach in every K-3 school to help ensure students are reading at grade level
Distraction-Free Education – passed legislation t to make our K-12 schools cell phone-free
